Sacred to the Memory. Of the Rev. Father Ezekiel Danois of Compiegne in France, the first Minister of the French congregation which began to assemble here in 1652, who in un-wearied zeal, learning and strictness of life was second to none; a great treasure of literature was here hidden from the world, known to God and himself, few besides; content with these witnesses and having for the space of fifty-four years, twenty-one of which were spent here in Thorney Abbey, fulfilled his ministry with very much fruit, he at length found a resting place in the scene of his labours.
He died on the 24th of February, 1674.
Carol, Is Ezekial Danois Mequilly one of yours? The name Mequilly only appears the once.
Kind Regards
