Hi all
You could say that the only thing that did spread deep into the fens were the occasional plagues. The fens isolation does not from my researched and limited understanding, been a impediment to the plagues.
To have a cause of death stated in the burial record would mean the death was unusual at the time and my have had an inquest. I would believe the most common cause of death around the Wisbech area apart from old age the various plagues is drowning due to the sea. Fall from horses is common, due to agriculture.
The following questions are referring to the period prior to the 20th century
1) Was a Small pox sufferers removed to any special place?
2) How was small pox treated?
P.S. I seem to be getter together with my 1 year old son who fell the same time but luckily, had a much lest severe reaction.
Kind Regards
