Subject: LEFEVRE (and variants) posting - general thanks.
Date: Wed, 9 Mar 2005 13:04:02 -0000
This is a stop-gap acknowledgement to all who responded to my posting
regarding LEFEVREs abt 1812, etc.
I posted to both the Lincsgen and Wisbech-Area lists and received a large
number of replies with lots of data. I am working my way through these, and
the trails to which some of them lead, and will reply to all individually.
One thing came out loud and clear - there was and is a Postland. The reason
I couldn't find it on GENUKI and PARLOC was that I was looking for it as a
parish - Postland is not a parish but a place/hamlet within the parish of
Crowland! We live and learn!
One other thing. One correspondent came up with a burial that threatens to
take the wheels off this particular trolley! Ah well!
Cheers,
Cliff of Coventry
