I suspect you are mixing up the GRO index and the actual register.
The GRO is simply an index, organised by three month period within a
specific year, to the actual registers, which are organised by
Parish. So if you are actually talking about the register it is
possible that others on the page might be related but it is highly
unlikely that this is the case with the GRO index unless siblings
were having a joint marriage.
There are three marriages for William Alcocks - and only this
spelllng - in the second quarter of 1856. Unfortunately there is no
marriage for a Harriet Clements in that quarter, nor did any other
female Clement get married at that time and in those places.. Which
doesn't mean that it didn't happen then - there could have been a
transcription error. Of course marriage certs would help you to see
if any of these is the right one but getting certs at random is an
expensive business.

I've found a useful way of checking distances is to use the route
planner at www.theaa.com and simply enter the start and finish place
names - would probably work the same with google maps but I haven't
tried it.
