I am researching the Bevill family that supposedly had nutmeg farms in the mid
1700s. They were from Huntingdon. The first Bevill that I have proved is:
Rardon Bevill, born 1793 in Union co. SC and died 1877 in Walker Co. AL.,
From a letter written in 1926 or we believe his father to be William Bevill
who would have been born about /before 1762, probably in Huntingdon, England.
We don't know who his mother was, but the name "Rardon" is carried down in the
family even unto today. Another brother we suspect is Neal or O'Neil who
lived in GA. Any help appreciated. {This family is NOT listed in any of the
3 Bevill books that have been published, but possibly "could" be related to
the ones listed in the English lineages.
