My greatgrandmother's sister married a man from Worksop, and when my ggm
emigrated to Florida ca 1885, one of the books she took with her was "The
Gateway to the Dukeries." I still have that book.

In any case, my ggm was Annie Mary MITCHELL of Bury, Hunts, and her sister
was
Jane, m. William P. BOOTH, a photographer on Bridge Road in Worksop. I am
currently working with a family historian in Upwood, not far from Bury, in
hopes of finding out a little more about my kin in the area.

Would you know how far it is from Worksop to Bury/Ramsey?

Its about 86 miles from Worksop to Bury, Cambs.
