Hello Martin:

Could you explain this to me:

Elizabeth in France (I think) said in Pigot's National Commerical Directory
1830, Cambridge had 4 Wards - Bridge, Market, High, and Preachers,
containing 14 parishes; each has a church but one. Is this the city of
Cambridge or the county? If I were to look those Wards up in the LDS
database, would I look under Churches to see Parishes or somewhere else -
could you take a very educated guess?

I am also trying to find Christchurch which was the parish? diocese? that
included the Norfolk portion of Upwell (have I got that right?) but can't
find it under parishes so I'm not correct - I'm looking for the Cambridge
part of Upwell for the Archdeacon's Transcripts of Registers 1725-1812 if
they are available in the LDS microfilms.

Thanks for your help.

Carol
