I am working on tracing the SOUTHWELL family who lived in Wisbech and Emneth
in the mid 1700s and 1800s. Specifically, I am looking for ROBERT
SOUTHWELL'S birth. He married SARAH GOO (maiden name BURRIGE) on 9-sep-1798.
They had several children
Mary bap. 9-apr-1800
Mary bap. 25-oct-1801
James bap. 1-mar-1803
Charlotte bap. 1-dec-1805
Elizabeth bap. 14-jun-1807,
Charles bap. 13-nov-1811, d. 26-may-1811

ROBERT SOUTHWELL died 12-dec-1810. The second MARY gave birth to an
illegitmate son, CHARLES PRATT SOUTHWELL bap. 1-apr-1817, in Emneth. I can
find no other information on MARY. CHARLES SOUTHWELL was in New Sleaford,
Lin. according to the 1841 census living as a bootmaker with his grandmother
SARAH. It was there he met his wife ELIZA JANE HAINING. They moved to the
United States in 1848. CHARLES died in St. Louis, Missouri 4-sep-1875.
Any help in locating ROBERT SOUTHWELL'S birth, parents, or siblings would be
greatly appriciated.
