My apologies to Cambridgeshire, but with Martin Edwards away, I thought I would comment on the GENUKI position in general.

In Huntingdonshire, in conformity with the GENUKI standards and requirements, we have developed parish pages which are accessible from our county page at http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/HUN/. Each parish page contains a description and history of the parish, and has maps, census information, a church history, census and poor law information and well as geographical and geological information. Martin discussed his intentions with me, based on our experiences, and I believe he has started putting up parish pages for Cambridgeshire. However, there are many more Cambridgeshire parishes than we have in Huntingdonshire, so his task will take longer.

No doubt, people with interests in Cambridgeshire will comment further; however, you are advised to look at the GENUKI Cambridgeshire county page at http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/CAM/ and follow the parish links from there.

Subject: gazeteer?

Does anyone know of a web site with a gazeteer of Cambridgeshire? I'm
looking for descriptions of ancestors villages.
