Hi List Members:
Is there any printed material available about the Clerks of Girton Parish,
starting from about 1780.
I'm particularly interested in the Parish Clerks with the surname "WARD". On
the Girton Parish Records fiche I found that a person with the surname
"WARD" had witnessed marriages from 1785 until 1845. When William Ward's
daughter was christened in 1817 it said he was Clerk of the Parish, and his
1863 burial record also said he was Clerk of the Parish.
All "WARD" christenings and all but one "WARD" burial listed on the Girton
Parish Records Fiche are related to William Ward.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
