The rules for translation of the parish records were as laid out below. Are
you sure it is PB as an abbreviation and not initials?

Abbreviations as in register Standard abbreviation to be used in
transcript

senior, senr., sen. sen
labourer, labr., lab. lab
illegitimate, ill., illeg. illeg
ag., age, aged, AE aged
