Hi,

Are there any exiled Scots about who might be able to suggest an
alternative spelling for McQUISTON? I've been asked by a fellow-Lister
to look up a Hugh McQUISTON in the 1881 census. Neither this name nor
any of the variants I can think of produce any results. BTW, any
suggestion from a non-Scot will be equally welcome!

I'm sending this to about half the Lists to which I subscribe and
apologise in advance to all who will receive it more than once.

Best wishes

Charles
