I think that you may be referring to Stourbridge Fair. I am researching an
ancestor who can from Stourbridge WOR and purchased a booklet called 'The
Decline of Stourbridge Fair, 1770-1934' by Tania McIntosh. It turned out to
be about Stourbridge Fair in Cambridge and, while I have just skimmed it, it
looks like an interesting addition to my library.
