Dear list,

I have need of help from anyone that may have records to solve a particularly vexing problem. Three brothers John, Henry and Arthur Howland have made a dramatic mark on US history and from them have descended three American Presidents Richard Milhous Nixon, Gerald Ford and George W. Bush, 1st lady Eleanor Roosevelt, Hollywood screen stars Humphrey Bogart, Bing Crosby and Marilyn Monroe. I have also seen mention on the net that supposedly Winston Churchill also is connected to one of them.

They are supposedly from Fen Stanton but disagreement abounds as to their birth dates and that of their siblings.
Could some kind soul verify:
marriage of Henry Howland to Margaret Ann (Alice) Aires church of St. Mary, Ely, Cambs 26 April 1600

Humphrey ca 1601 m. Annie
John ca 1602 m. Elizabeth Tilley (Plymouth Colony)
Henry ca 1604 m. Mary
Simon ca 1605 m. 1632 Ann Ulster
Margaret ca 1606 m. 1623 Richard Phillips
George ca 1607 d. 1643
Arthur ca 1609 m. Margaret Reed
William ca 1610

John Howland was a Separatist and a single man, servant to John Carver and one of the original Pilgrims on The Mayflower. His two brothers came to Plymouth Colony later bur as early as 1633 for Henry.

Henry is my particular interest at this time (my ancestor). It appears that he may have married in England ca 1628 to unknown or a Mary. Possible two children born England Abigail ca 1629 and Zoeth ca 1631 assuming , hoping Fen Stanton.

The remainder of his children by wife Mary were born in Plymouth Colony after 1633.

My luck, I am descended from his 1st born Abigail so would like to get her birth records straight, and of course trace the remainder of my ancestral roots in England.
