Unfortunately the registers give neither status [widow/spinster] nor age for
burials. So far the only family headstone was erected in Caldecot in 1921
[my ggrandparents]. They were quite poor-several dying in the workhouse.
Even my grandfather had to leave home and go to work at 12 years of age. It
must be so much easier for rich folks to trace their families--all those
land records, taxes, wills and tombstones ;>)
