Subject: [FENS] Missing Males in the 1901 Census
Date: Sat, 9 Nov 2002 11:50:47 -0000
Dear Listers
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on where all the missing males are
going from the 1901 census ?
When it was just 1 or 2 I thought little of it, but now I'm up to about a
dozen.
I know there's been a lack of confidence with the online census, but am I
missing something obvious here ?
My missing males are in the 20 to 30 age bracket, appear in th 1881, but
disappear by the 1901.
Would they have become involved in the Boer War (1899-1902)?
If so, how can I track them down ?
TIA
Denise
