Hello, Everyone,
Since I am descended from the Van WOGGELUM family and the BACKER-BAKER
family and my husband is descended from the Van WOGGELUM family and ENYART
family, here is some information on Nicholas BAKER, who appears to be the
Nicholas, s/o Jacobus BACKER/BAKER.

Yellis/Jellis/Giles ENYART will was written 2 Jan 1706, proved 11 Mar
1707/8, recorded in Surrogates Court records Liber. 7, Richmond Co., NY. He
names his wife as Trentchea (Triente/Trientje/Catherine) and gives the names
of his 6 children and two brothers-in-law John Woglum (aka Van WOGGELUM) &
Ury Woglum (aka Van WOGGELUM); witnesses: Peter Hoogewater, Jan Maklys (his
father-in-law, aka Jan VAN WOGGELUM), Oswald Ford. (Source: ENYART-L:

In Aug 1710, Triente/Trientje/Trentcha/Catherine (Van WOGGELUM) ENYART BAKER
signed a release as "Trentcha Baker of Staten Island widow of Yelles
Ingart."

realistically be 1708-1709)

So, it appears that Nicolas BAKER first wife, Triente/Catherine (CRUSER)
BAKER, died by 1707 and he had married Triente/Trientje/Trencha (Van
WOGGELUM) ENYART by 1708/1709, IF THESE ARE THE SAME Nicholas.
However, if he was said to be, 45 years in 1706, he would have been born in
1661. Nicholas, s/o Jacobus BACKER-BAKER was said to have been baptized 25
Mar 1657, which would make him at least 48 years by 1706.
The ENYART Family Newsletter, Vol. 1, #2, Oct 1998, indicates that Nicholas
BAKER was indeed married to a first wife named Triente, which would validate
our resources and a second wife, Triente (Van WOGGELUM) ENYART, widow of
Yellis/Jellis/Giles ENYART.
Any additional comments from other researchers would be appreciated.
