Dear all,

Has anyone produced a street/place index (not necessarily published) for any
of the Romford census returns? I ask because I am interested in tracing the
development of Romford through the streets and places recorded in the
censuses (censuii?!). At its most basic, a simple list of streets/places
would suffice, although ideally I'd also like the numbers of
households/inhabitants (though I know these wouldn't be included in any
index). If no such indices exist, would they be of any use to others? I
ask because, if so, when I go through the censuses recording the
steets/places, I will also note down the folio numbers - if not, I won't
bother! Please note that my time is very limited, so I don't know when I
might be able to complete this - so, if you're interested, please don't
"hold your breath"! Many thanks.
