Subject: [EoLFHS] Woodgrange Park Cemetery - further queries

Hi Katie
I appreciate your answers to my questions - could you oblige with a few more?
1 Do you know what percentage of the original gravestones have been
removed, and whether the names on them were
recorded when they were moved?
2 If one has a grave number ( as I do) is the only way of finding out
whether grandpa is still there to go to the area and look?
3 If one wishes to find out whether family members might have been
buried at WPC ( to know which cemetery a forebear is buried in even
though the exact grave location is lost is better than nothing) surely
the remaining records should be available for searching? Can access
to them be refused in what seems to be an attempt to prevent
descendants of those whose graves have been used again from
learning that this has happened?
I realise that it is probably unfair of me to be directing these questions to you - maybe it would be in order if you could send them on to the owners on my behalf.
Regards, Ann C Best, Wellington, NZ
