I read with great interest on your postings, and now with your thoughts.
I quite agree. The stocks and cage would be by far more effective than
the system we have today. Also to enforce some of the blue laws would
also help I think.
During the Revolutionary War, the people living on Nantucket nearly
starved because the British had them blockaded so even trying to get out
to fish was taking ones life in ones hands and risking boat, crew and
catch if they were coming in.
