This is for all the "Newbies", "Rookies" and slow learners, such as
myself <g>.
Before I invested in the Essex Co. Vital Records CD, I used to hand copy
the records, ignoring the "stuff" on the end, i.e. [P.R. 43],
[C.R.3],etc. to save time and preserve my fingers. DON'T DO THAT!! Case
in point...while trying to pin down which of two people was my
ancestor's father, I decided to check out the P.R.43 and discovered it
was a Bible record of a sibling, which made the final determination.
Mistakes are costly, but, if you can learn from them and save others
from duplicating them then it's worth it. Now, if my hair would just
grow back a little faster.....
