Dear Alison:

No, baptism and birth dates are not the same, but you can use baptism dates
until you get the birth dates, that is, if you can get birth dates. If you
can't, the baptism dates are probably close to the birth dates. I think babies
were baptized then quite soon after birth. Someone else may have more exact
info on this.
