My gggrandfather, Frank W. Grant reported that he was born in Lawrence,
Essex, MA in 1863 and that his mother was Mary Sanborn.

Frank's father Lewis Grant was born in Lebanon, ME. He was living in his
father's home in Lebanon in 1850 with Augusta Grant who I believe was his
first wife, but was found with his sister in Haverhill, MA by 1860, no
wife. He enlisted in the Civil War at Lowell, MA. He was in the war for
three years. Somewhere during this time he must have married Mary Sanborn.

I would like to verify the marriage of Lewis and Mary, as well as the birth
of Frank, and determine whether or not there were any other children born
to this couple.
