Antipas Dodge (3), {Samuel(2), Richard(1)}, was born at Ipswich, Mass., 7
Sept., 1677. He m. in 1699 Joanna Lowe (b.----, dau. of ). In 1705, the will
of his father gave him 1/5 of his father's land and the house he lived in.
Antipas died at Ipwsich, April, 1707 (age 30), with an estate valued at # 205.
Joanna m. 2nd (int.) at Ispwich, 19 Sept., 1708 Joseph Hale of Boxford, who
became guardian of the young Dodge children.

Children (born Ipswich):
1. Joshua, b. 1 Feb., 1701***** (I am researching this fella')
2. Joanna, b. 15 July, 1702, m. Ambrose Hale of Boxford (b. 10 Feb., 1698,
son
of Joseph & Mary (Watson) Hale)
3. David, b. 1704, m. Haverhill, Martha Esgate of Lowell. They had 8
children.
4. Hannah, bp. Wenham, 3 June, 1705, m. Wenham, 23 June, 1731 Richard
Goldsmith (b. Wenham, 28 Dec., 1705, son of Zaccheus Jr. & Martha (Hutton)
Goldsmith). They removed to Littleton, Mass., ca. 1748, where he died 26
Jan., 1756, and she d. 1 July, 1760. Does anyone else know or have any of
those great CDs out there that might clear up the Dodge story?

Hi Linda,

Maybe this will help. There are many Joshua(s) but w/o a near date it's hard
to figure out who he might have married. These marriages are from CD#213
Famiy History Library, Salt Lake City, UT. I have looked for Joshua with out
any luck. I think I have gotten a bit side-tracked with the Hale family.
Seems like quite a multitude of children for Joseph Hale m. to Mary Watson
father of Joseph Hale married to Mrs. Joanna Dodge.
