I'm not sure if I caught the beginning of this thread, but it appears to be
about occupations as listed on censuses. These need not always be
occupations as we might think of them. They include "widow", "pauper" and
"Tunker" which as I understand it is a Protestant religious sect. It
could be that "living divide" refers more to the conditions the person was
living in rather than a paid occupation.
