Every night, I read the Essex Mailings List. Every night, I read
joyful postings from people who are thanking others for the receipt of
wonderful new information about their ancestors. All this happiness &
success is depressing me. What about me, I say. What about the Perrin
& Penning family of north-west Essex, I moan. Apart from a few teasing
bits of info re Perrin & Penning families in, or from, other places, no
joyful tidings have come my way. I'm almost convinced that all my
missing Perrin & Penning relatives were amongst the many emigrants who
drowned at sea on stormy nights.
This is a begging letter. If anyone has any info on the Perrin or
Penning families of north-west Essex, no matter how tiny, please send it
my way. If anyone ever spots a jot of info on these families, please
remember me. I would love to be one of those subscribers who send in
postings along the lines of "I just wanted to publicly thank xxx yyyyy
for the enormous help she has been to me in my family history".
