I believe you can still purchase CDROMs from the same site. In fact
out-of-date CDROMs have been given away free with UK PC magazines. I
have purchase such a CDROM (for around 20 UK pounds). It is not 100%
accurate but with it I produced a comma-delimited list and did a
Snail-Mail-merge shot to just over 100 families with an uncommon
surname.
You can't search everything and the list is not 100 per cent and
quite a few people are ex-directory but I have found it very useful
indeed. Far better than trying to get anything out of BT!!
