Hi All,

I had a stroke of luck this week. It seems the
Author, Oren F. Morton, B.Lit. that wrote "A
HISTORY OF MONROE CO., WV, USA"
might have been off a little. For the last 6
months, I've been looking for Robert A. Beckett
in England and should have been looking for
Humphrey Beckett, born around ABT 1650.
Humphrey died in Prince Georges County,
Maryland, USA ABT JUN 1706. Anyway,
I picked up 4 more generations here in the
good 'ol US of A. I have a total of 12 generations
right in my own back yard. Who would have
known. Humphrey must've come over on the
MAYFLOWER!

I concentrated mostly on Daniel Beckett and
Maria Gibson-Beckett, & their daughter Catherine
around the early 1700's (not ruling out).

I ALSO MIGHT BE IN THE WRONG COUNTY!
SHOULD I UNSUBSCRIBE FROM ESSEX?
I DON'T THINK SO! I have liked the many responses
that the people of ESSEX have given. I've kind of
grown attached. Where else could I go and receive
20 emails a day. It is very interesting once you learn
all of the acronyms. I only wish I could contribute more.
