Hi Shelley,

I had been having noise like that for the first half hour every day that I booted up
for the past 6 mths and even though it appeared to only do it when cold, then settle down
more quietly after, my warranty was almost up so I took it back to the shop I purchased
it from and the technician said he thought it could be the fan (maybe faulty) he kept it
for
a couple of hours, phoned and said it was just the fan bearings that needed a grease, its
been fine ever since so hopefully for you it is something just as simple.

There is a very good computer help list you could join and maybe they can give you a few
answers they are really very helpful, like this list is.

Try and put the command subscribe
you will get a welcome message in return.

I am sending this message to the list also in case other's may find it useful.

Kind regards,
Barbara & Ken Stride, Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand.
