Doesn't look like it, sorry. I have 7 Wade names on my tree, back to around 1816 for
definite, and depending on which of two William's, maybe to 1784. No "General".

Guess only - maybe there was a military man early on with some small (local?) claim to
fame? Wade is fairly common as I spose you know, well in Essex certainly.
If I *do* make a link I'll get back to, perhaps you'd do the same?
My WADES are:
William WADE m. Ann ?
|
William WADE (1784- later than 1840) Great Goggeshall m. Elizabeth Collis
| |
Thomas WADE (1816-1851) Samuel WADE (1813 - ) Stebbing
Little Leighs m. Charlotte Wallis
|
five children : Edward 1841-1881, Mary Ann 1848-1912, Emma 1845/48 - , Sarah 1849/51
- , Susannah 1852- .
Mary Ann is my g-grandmother.
Regards,
Mike.
