Subject: Crossing the Thames

How easy would it be to cross the Thames in about 1750's? Was there a
bridge, and how far from Bexley, in Kent, or Grays in Essex would that
be?How likely would it be for someone to cross over from Bexley to the
Grays area in that timeperiod?
