Looking for any info on James GREEN and family from the 1800's. James
was born c.1812 in Peldon to parents Abraham GREEN & Mary SALMON. He
had at least one sibling Sophia. He married in 1836 to Hannah FALE
(born Goldhanger c.1817) and they settled in West Mersea. They had the
following children there: James,William,John,Daniel,Hannah,Charles and
Eliza. James worked as a oyster dredgerman whilst some of his sons
worked on the railways. One son John moved to Wivenhoe and became a
shipwright. Names that married into the family were PARKIN and
CUTTS-AVIS.
