Not quite sure I understand your meaning Shelley but there are various
alternatives you might want to consider;
1. Subscribe to the newsgroup 'soc.genealogy.britain'.
2. Subscribe to the 'England' (and/or the 'United Kingdom') message board at
Genforum http://genforum.genealogy.com . There are also thousands of
message boards for individual surnames including Cameron on Genforum (set up
a "My Genforum" page and add the boards that you are interested in to it).
3. Try Rootsweb http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/intl/ENG/ . This URL will
give you a list of all of the rootsweb 'England' mailing lists. There is not
one for the whole of England but there are for certain geographical areas,
e.g. 'East Anglia' as well as for each County. As with Genforum there are
individual lists for specific surnames.
4. GENUKI http://www.genuki.org.uk/mindex.html also has lists for each
county as well as other areas of Britain. There is also an England Surnames
list which you can subscribe to by sending an email to
with the single word 'subscribe'
(without the quotes) in the body of the message.

Genforum, Rootsweb and GENUKI are all vast sites with mountains of
information available to help with your research. There are several others
also but those three are arguably the best.
