I am posting my interests having just joined the List.

My ancestors came from Lexden, Colchester and I am stuck at the births
of James HAYWARD/HOWARD and Sarah WARREN.
James HAYWARD died in Colchester in 1840 and based on his age at
burial, was born c.1776. For most of his life he lived in Water Lane,
Lexden.

James married Sarah WARREN 18 Aug 1803 at Lexden and had the following
children:
James b.1804 Colchester, m (i) Mary ??? possibly somewhere near
Colchester, and (ii) Harriet CHURCH 25 Dec 1834 at Ipswich, SFK. He was
a shoemaker.
George born/died 1806
Sarah b.1807 married John WITTEN
Hannah b. 1810 married (i) John BARKER and (ii) Henry COE (son of
Barnaby COE).
George (1813-1845)
William b.1816 married Susannah BARKER
Susannah b.1819 married William GOODWIN
Henry born/died 1822
Matilda born 1824 married Lawson ALSTON
Henry b.1826
Charles b.1831 married (i) Mary Ann WHITELAW and (ii) Caroline BARKER
- they ran a pub in Colchester.
If anyone is researching the above family I would be pleased to
exchange information. I have quite a lot of information about
descendants.
