The Royal Family has done nothing different than the heads of other
countries...Canada, US included.

I too, thought the sun rose and set on Diana, but she was human, and so are
they all. Maybe I am naive, but I do not expect people to be Saints.

We do have something that most countries have never known....the
Monarchy...the pomp and ceremony which are envied everywhere.

Do not condemn them for their human failings (and if Queen Elizabeth has
failed us, I have never heard of it). We do not have to care for their
personal lives, but we definitely should care for them as the
head of our country (as I said I am a Canadian, and still feel that way).

Although this has nothing to do with my opinion, and unfortunately it is
not totally documented, my lineage tells me that I am 29th cousin, 3 times
removed from Queen Elizabeth, through Richard II Duke of Normandy and
Judith of Brittany.........

On to adding more info to my database of 37,000.
