Hi Janet,
I believe this originated from the "Visitations of Essex, 1634". I think
there must have been many Sorrell lineages at the time considering the
Sorrell's arrived from France around the time of William the Conqueror.
Given that the Parish records are very sparse (if available) during this
period, where do we find further info to prove our connections.
I have my tree back to the mid 1600's through the parish records and wills.
