Hello,

My 3rd great grand aunt, Elizabeth WHEELER (about 1809 - 1875), daughter of
John WHEELER, married Abraham ISOM (born Lexden 30 October 1812, died Lexden
11 April 1880) at Lexden on 13 April 1833. The witnesses were Elizabeth's
sister, Ann WHEELER, who was my 3rd great grandmother, and James BAXTER,
whom she married. They don't seem to have been married for very long, as
when Ann married John RODWELL, just 4½ years later, on 11 September 1837,
she was a widow. The witnesses at Ann's second marriage were her sister and
her brother in law, Abraham and Elizabeth ISOM.

More recently, in the early 1970s I was a teacher at Stanway Secondary
School. I remember a brother and sister with the surname ISOM among the
pupils - I think the girl was called Beryl, but I can't recall her brother's
name at present. At the same time, there was a teacher there named John
SHELTON. I think he taught English, and he also played the trombone in the
school band.

Regards,
David Lamb (Paignton, Devon, UK)

MORLY, BEAUMONT, CLARKE and CURRELL.
