Hello,
If an expected name does not appear on FreeBMD, the probably reason is that
in spite of the millions of entries which it already contains, FreeBMD is
not yet complete. It may just be That Frank KINDER's birth is one of those
entries still awaiting transcription. However, all is not lost. The
documents which FreeBMD is busily transcribing are the General Register
Office indexes of births, marriages and deaths, and these are available
publicly. Your email doesn't show whereabouts in the world you are, but if
you are anywhere near a LDS (Mormon) Family History Centre, many of them
have the Indexes on microfiche, as do some larger UK libraries and county
record offices. If you cannot get to any of these, or of course to the
Family Records Centre (Formerly "St Cath's") in London, there is always the
search service operated by the Essex Society for Family History. For
details of this service, go to the society's website: www.esfh.org.uk and
click on the link to the left of your screen which says something like
"Search and Courier Service".
I hope this helps.
Regards,
David Lamb (Paignton, Devon, UK)
