Yes apologies are in order! I had checked the online
records as far as possible and the HARDING clan listed
were noted down.

After looking at Sarah's maiden name a couple more
times it suddenly became clearer and is almost
definitely KIDBY.

So does anyone have access to the 1841 and 1851
census' for Colchester St Mary at the Wall who could
tell me if there is a HARDING family fitting the
description below,(ages as they would have been in
1841)

Thomas HARDING aged about 30
Sarah HARDING aged about 30
Thomas HARDING, 11
Emma HARDING, 9
Sarah HARDING, 8 or 4
Maria HARDING, 7
Hannah HARDING, 6
Joseph HARDING, 2

Or a marriage record for Thomas HARDING and Sarah
KIDBY about 1830, probably at St Mary at the Wall,
Colchester.

I've also checked the 1881 census and I think the
family moved to Great Yarmouth, Norfolk eventually. I
know Joseph did as he married my 2 x Great Grandmother
there in 1872.

Unfortunately all of my sources cover Suffolk!
