Hi all,

Since I didn't get any responses re the 1851 cenusf or the below names, is there anyone who could check the BVRI for these names please.

Is there any kind soul who is able to check the 1851 for the Orsett District
of Essex, probably around St. Marys Chadwell or Tilbury for any:

ROBERTS, Edward and Ann

And

ELSDON, esp. Edward or Ann or Elizabeths

I have an Elizabeth Nee ROBERTS who gave her first son the middle name
ELSDON. Her maiden name was Roberts, but I suspect her mother's (Ann) maiden
name may be ELSDON.

From the IGI, Essex seems to be full of ELSDONS and I know Elizabeth
(neeRoberts) DOWIE, although she lived in Portsea in 1891 with her son, died
in ORSETT, Essex in 1898 so she must have family connection with the Orsett
district. Also, two of ELizabeth's children Alice DOWIE and Edward Andrew
DOWIE were also born in Orsett in the 1860s in the Chadwell/Tilbury Fort
area.

Any help greatly appreciated,
