This strange creature was seen several times at Henham on the Mount, Saffron Walden c 1885 so the - well documented - story goes.

I seriously wonder if the locals concocted some hallucinatory brew from their saffron or some other concoction - well, we know that the Romans got high as kites on a drug made from fermented lilies :-)
