In my search for my Thomas Evans b.13 October 1785 and d. 13 September 1834
Martin County Indiana, I have run across Aaron Evans and tried to associate
him with my Thomas. The Evans, Lindley, and Halbert families were closely
associated in Pennsylvania and the Carolinas and into Indiana. This Aaron
Evans that I am familiar with was the son of Owen Evans and Mary Harlan and
he had a sister named Sarah who married Thomas Lindley. I have tried to
fit my Thomas Evans into the family of Aaron and Sarah but still not
successful. I can only find them associated with the same families. Maybe
this is just another coincidence, but the Lindley family also was connected
with the McPherson family and intermarried. In fact, Sarah Evans and
Thomas Lindley's son, Aaron Lindley married Phebe McPherson.

Wish I had better answers for the person with the question, but I have
puzzled over the connections of these families for some time now.
