I have been doing research on the Evans family here in NH and I have an
article from a book of History of Dover, NH. It reads that Robert Evans and
his brother John came over from Wales and settled here in Dover, NH sometime
before 1665. John had a son Thomas born around 1665, he married Hannah
Brown in 1686 and settled in Salisbury, MA. They had 8 children. I'm not
sure if there is any direct connection, but I thought I would share what
little information I have uncovered.

Hi, The first knowledge we have of our Evans is that Thomas Evans came over
from Wales possibly in the 1830s. He married Eunice Nicy Price from
Cherokee County SC and their first child was born in 1837. I wish we could
find out about his parents and siblings.
