My Evans came from NW GA also. Not too far north though. They were in Harris
County in as early as 1850 and maybe before that.

Co. GA.
1.David EVANS, b. 02 August 1812, Greene Co GA; d. Abt. 1850, Coosa Co GA.
2.Eleanor EVANS, b. 15 September 1814; m. James W. HARRISON, 10 February
1831.
3.Emily Adeline EVANS, b. 01 June 1816, GA.married Thomas B. VARDEMAN 04
August 1835 in Harris Co GA. He was born 1815 in GA.
4.Reason EVANS, b. 12 September 1818, Harris Co GA; d. 1915.married
Elizabeth FLURRY 15 August 1835 in Harris County, Georgia.
5.Hiriam EVANS, b. 08 November 1821.
6.Noah H. EVANS, b. 30 November 1823, GA; d. Bet. 1851 - 1860, GA.married
ELIZABETH ROSS 08 October 1845 in Georgia, daughter of ARTHUR ROSS and NANCY
HERRIN. She was born 27 December 1827 in GA, and died 05 October 1856 in
Harris Co GA.
7.George M. EVANS, b. 28 October 1826, Harris Co GA; m. Catherine STORY, 26
October 1843, Harris County, Georgia.
8.Amanda EVANS, b. 1829.
