My maternal grandmother was Pansy EVANS born in Western, Ottertail County,
MN in 1884. Pansys parents were: William B.C. EVANS and Dorcas CROSBY
married in New Auburn, McLeod County, MN in 1867. They had 12 children:
Wallace, Harry, George, Roy, Fred, William, Carl, Robert, Pearl, Pansy,
Lee, and Daisy. They were all born in MN.

The generations before William B.C. EVANS are quite a challenge to
research. Evidently, William never mentioned his parents to his children.
We have found that his father was Wright EVANS born in 1813 in Chesterfield
County, VA. He is located in Baltimore, MD in the 1840 census, his wife
was Margaret, and William was born in Baltimore, MD in 1842. Wright died
in 1845 and is buried in Blandford Cemetery, Dinwiddie County, VA. Shortly
after Wrights death, Williams grandmother (not sure if that is maternal
or paternal) relocated to MN where William grew up. We have not been able
to locate his mother. Wright EVANS parents were Isham and Elizabeth EVANS.
So far, we have not been able to locate information about them.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might know this family.

Sincerely,
Carolyn McDougall Clark
