My William S. Evans, who married Frances C. Holmes in New Madrid Co., MO, on
20 Jul 1888, may be the son of one George S. Evans, who married Elvira M.
Gorin, daughter of Henry Madison Gorin and Mary Ann Love in Decatur, Macon
Co., IL, on 23 Apr 1835.

George and Elvira are in Greene Co., IL, in 1860, 1870, & 1880 (according to
census records). George is listed in his parents household in the 1850
census of Greene Co.

It is said that George and Elvira migrated to Kansas before 1890.

William S. Evans remained in the SE MO areas of New Madrid and Scott Co.
until his death sometime between 1910 and 1930.

Can anyone help with either the Gorin or Evans families mentioned above?
