Not sure if it's what you mean, but you can click and drag to select
data, right-click with the mouse bring up 'copy' and then paste that
same data where you want. I do this to add notes to each event in an
individual's records as well as recording the same data in the actual
text box of a source.
Having said that, there's probably some fancy way of doing this a lot
more simply, that I have yet to find
