Hi John,
Are you a Beta tester, then.
Where *have* you been? Many Family History programs give you the option to
back up a database when you exit from it/them! <grin>
I would agree with your undo comment though, so all is not bad! Even if one
managed to remove a marriage record, that can be re-inserted. Also, look at
my previous post and get some or all of the GEDCOM utilities reference
there. Splitting a database or merging two can be done visually. Also, a
method, whereby a note to each record can be inserted, would enable a note
of the form "modified on Xday the Yth day of Xmonth 200?" for each RIN. I
do not do this now, but the process of legitimising all my computer held
records with full sources is in progress. {A bit late, methinks <grin>}
Perhaps it is a bad hair day for you today? <eg>
Best wishes,
Phil.
P.S. " None ..... *has* (singular noun and verb <wg> )
PPS At the AGM of the Pedigree User Group on Saturday, a way whereby each
change to the database can be tracked was spelt out. British Family History
programs rule OK!
