What I mean by inconsistent is that sometimes the diagram updates itself
immediately and at other times, (when making exactly the same change to the
same two siblings), the diagram does not update immediately. The property
panel, as you say, always updated immediately. This may be something to do
with my computer which is why I asked if others have experienced this.
The whole thing is not much of a problem as I normally change sibling order
in the property panel or the main record window. It just happened that I was
viewing a diagram and noticed that two siblings were in the wrong order and
tried to correct this. That is why the anomaly surfaced.
