I use pdf for certificates and other documents - you can add notes to them
if you have the full product. and jpg for pictures.

What are the pros and cons?

I'm planning to insert in FH some hundreds of marriage/birth records
from my ancestors (already loaded in FH) will you please advise me what
could be the best format for that purpose. For the time being I'm
considering .pdf or .jpg, both with pros and cons.
